This watch winder has a luxurious fully enclosed case with lift-up front that is fitted with superb quadrant hinges and beveled glass viewing panel. Choose from several available SIENA wooden winder cases, including TeakWood, Maple Burl, and Black Piano, all with multiple layers of high-gloss durable lacquer finishes. All interior surfaces are lined in rich suede. The bottom surface of all cases is covered in suede to prevent damage to fine furniture tops.
User-programmable control allows head direction and turns per day (TPD) to be optimized for the watch being wound. The sloped front case houses an easily removable drive station fitted with an ironless core gear motor and the drive modules simply lift out to load the batteries. Power is provided by either easily available "C" cell alkaline batteries or by the supplied AC/DC adapter. A "low" battery light automatically signals when battery replacement is due. Siena Series is highly recommended for winding expensive Swiss Automatic Watches like Omega, Oris, Patek, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Cartier, Panerai, Rolex and Maurice Lacroix Automatic Watches!

The watch to be wound is easily mounted over a resilient foam cushion, which accommodates virtually any size watch with either leather strap or metal bracelet. The cushion fits snugly into the drive cup, making it impossible for the watch to fall as the cup swings back and forth during the winding cycle. The cup is easily removed to facilitate watch mounting. The SPARTA 1 watchwinder is powered by two (2) 1.5 volt, "D" cell alkaline batteries. As the drive motor only powers the first oscillation of each winding cycle, with all succeeding oscillations totally powered by gravity, battery drain on the motor is minimal. Hence, the SPARTA 1 watchwinder is guaranteed to operate for a MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS without any need for a battery change.
